2020 Farmer Training Program :: partnership with Novo Nordisk Inc.

In 2020, The Garden Farmacy, LLC partnered with Novo Nordisk Inc. to pilot the Farmer Training Program. Through this exciting new program, we trained two trainees in all major aspects of annual and perennial agriculture production here at the farm. Learning topics ranged from the beginning stage of starting seed in the greenhouse, to the final stages of marketing and selling the fresh produce - all with a strong emphasis on utilizing regenerative and sustainable farming methods in Mississippi. The program successfully culminated this Fall in the addition of two more beginning sustainable farmers in Mississippi!

2019 Farmhouse to Your House Pilot Program :: partnership with Novo Nordisk Inc.

The Garden Farmacy, LLC was one of two farms to pilot the statewide Farmhouse to Your House program. Through an innovative partnership with Novo Nordisk Inc., we created and implemented a program that directly addressed the high rates of diabetes and diet-related chronic disease in Mississippi through increased access to fresh, local, chemical-free produce. Thanks to this partnership, The Garden Farmacy, LLC provided more than 950 weekly Vegetable Shares to Diabetes Prevention Program participants throughout the Jackson-Metro area!
